Messy Studio - Level 1
A wet art studio at its core, the Messy Studio was conceptualised by Black artists who envisioned a space through which experimental ideas could flow. Equipped with drying racks, storage units, sewing machines and other art equipment, this space is accessible for booking to visual and textile artists with any level of expertise.
Booking Rates
Full Day Rate: up to 8 hours.
$475 – Full Day
Half Day Rate: up to 4 hours.
$250 – Half Day
- As a registered charity, Wildseed Centre will not charge its users HST to book space.
- Rates are per-room, and do not reflect the cost of renting the entire Centre.

Discount
Before booking, please note that Black businesses, Black people, and Black non-profits and grassroots groups are eligible for a discount ranging between 80-90%. The standard non-profit rate offers a 60% discount. Non-Black businesses and corporations must pay full price. If you believe you may be eligible for a discount, please submit a registration form prior to booking your room.
Free bookings are offered to Wildseed Black Arts Fellows, BLMCA Chapters, and some grassroots groups on an as needed basis.

- 2 couches (can be moved around Level 1 only)
- TV with webcam for virtual meetings or presentations
- Craft supplies for children’s programming
- White boards
- Office supplies and printer available for small print jobs

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS
- In accordance with government regulations and Wildeed Centre’s Safety Plan, all guests are encouraged to self-assess for COVID-19 and other possible airborne illnesses ahead of entering the building.
- Guests are also encouraged to wear mask or face coverings over their nose and mouth at the Centre, unless they are drinking or eating. Additional PPE is available upon request.
