Defund’ Book Launch with Sandy Hudson and Philip McHarris

Co-hosted by Wildseed Centre and A Different Booklist, join us in celebration of the Canadian book launch of ‘Defund’. On May 4, 2025, Sandy Hudson will be in conversation with Philip McHarris to chat about policing, prisons and all things abolition. Childcare and children’s programming will also be available throughout the launch! During the talk, Syrus Marcus Ware will lead a reading and lesson on his book, ‘Abolition is Love’ in Wildseed’s Freedom Room.
Free copies of abolitionist titles will be given to attendees who have RSVPed on a first come, first served basis. Defund will also be available for purchase at the event.
